What I enjoy about working at PwC is the supportive environment, the opportunity to have a coaching manager and buddy when you start with the firm, and the real emphasis on personal development.

What attracted me to PwC was the firm’s global reach and wide scope of work offered that gives Graduates an opportunity to find an area they really enjoy. I also like the young and social nature of the people working at PwC.

Some highlights of working at PwC include immediate responsibility that you get given when starting as a Graduate. Also being involved in challenging and interesting work and having the opportunity to work on high profile projects that are in the media while making an impact.

The PwC culture is hard working, energetic, social and supportive. The culture is great, there’s no shortage of social events or opportunities to have a beer with your colleagues, which is great for breaking the ice when you first start. Everyone is supportive and willing to take the time to help you out with any questions. You get a true sense of one team and we celebrate success as a team.

The advice I would give to future Grads is, don’t be afraid to ask questions and speak up early when you’re not sure about something. If you have interest in a particular area or industry then let your managers know and they will make a conscious effort to get you more exposure. When starting a job, take the time to identify what you want to get out of it. Note what roles you have and haven’t had an opportunity to take and seek the ones you haven’t held before. Lastly, take advantage of all the social events, it’s a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
