Next steps

So what are the next steps?

Applications for the 2017 Graduate and Summer Intern campaign are now open!

Apply now.

What you’ll need for your application

  • An up-to-date CV (word or pdf document) (check out our quick tips here).
  • A cover letter.
  • Your academic transcript (this will need to be an official copy, scan or screen shot of your records).

In order for your application to be accepted, you’ll need to complete all parts of the application form and attach the correct documents. Please also ensure all contact details are correct.

We operate an anonymous initial screening process in line with our diversity and inclusion policy. As a result we’ll ask you to be mindful of this when applying. Please avoid including information which would reveal your gender, ethnicity or age etc.

What to expect

If you have any special requirements for us to consider, please get in touch directly with our One Firm Manager .

Step 1 – Online application

This is your chance to tell us about your academic background and any work experience you may have.

There is also a situational question to complete with a 250 word limit.

Step 2 – Online numerical and verbal reasoning tests

Additional information will be sent out via email following completion of step one. A lot of weight is placed on your results so please ensure you allow enough time to complete the tests, and that you have a strong internet connection.

Step 3 – Case study and interview

If your application is selected you’ll be invited to complete a case study and interview in the business area and location you have been selected for.

Planning your career

Career fairs and PwC events

We’ll be visiting campuses around New Zealand and will also be hosting events, so keep an eye on our calendar of events and our Facebook page for updates.

We’d love to meet you at these events and they are a great opportunity to get connected with different members of the team and see what a career at PwC is all about.

Anonymous application process

People and diversity are the key to the success of PwC. We’re passionate about ensuring that talented people, no matter what their background, have access to what we think is the best start to their career. To support this and to give all applicants equal opportunity, we’ll have an anonymous screening process for Graduate and Summer Internship applications this year.

There’s no need to make any changes to your CV, cover letter or academic transcript, but when filling in our application form, please try and avoid including information that could reveal your gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background. For example, remove the name of any gender specific secondary school or sports team.

Our system automatically masks your name and contact details on the application form and then it’s revealed to us when we invite you to an interview.

Summer Internship

A Summer Internship is a great opportunity to experience life at PwC and is best suited to students in their second-to-last year of study. We have a range of Internship opportunities available across our offices and business areas.

Our Internships run from November 2017 to February 2018 and gives you an opportunity to really experience what a career at PwC is like. You’ll meet the team, work on client projects and may even have the opportunity to ‘shadow’ a partner for a day.

Ready to apply?

If you wish to apply, have your CV, cover letter and academic transcript ready. We’ll need an official copy of your transcript which you’ll need to request from your University. Don’t have enough time? We’ll accept a scan or screen shot of your transcript (but not a Word version).

Applications without a transcript will not be accepted.

The application form will ask for background information on your studies, your contact information, your right to live and work in New Zealand, your eligibility for any professional bodies and also a few questions about yourself. You’ll have the opportunity to select your first and second preference for the location and area of business you’d like to work in, so make sure you have done your research and thought about what could be the best option for you.
