A highlight of working at PwC is the support you get to help you maintain a work life balance and any other endeavours you may undertake outside of work, be it external study, sport, or travel.

I was attracted to PwC because the reputation proceeded itself as one of the Big 4 firms to apply for and PwC was always signposted as one of the go to firms at University.

PwC has a well-established Internship and Graduate programme providing thorough training and a chance to establish a strong network and friendships with your colleagues. What’s even better, given PwC’s global reach I knew later down the track I could have the opportunity to travel and undertake secondments, which is something for me to work towards.

In the Financial Assurance team, we have a regular set of clients that we work with. However every year we’re given new and more challenging tasks, which keeps us engaged.

I really enjoy working in a team environment. I like that even though you work with these people five days a week, you still want to catch up with them after work or in the weekends. I enjoy that Assurance takes me outside of the office, into other companies and industries. Helping me to develop a wide range of skills, be it, relationship, leadership or technical.

The thing that surprised me most was the level of responsibility I was given from the day one and my opinion was always valued.

PwC has a social, and inclusive workplace culture, where people are always willing to listen and help. PwC provides numerous activities and other opportunities including social sporting teams, the annual PwC Ball and volunteering at local charities.

I would encourage anyone who is keen to start their career in a place where there are endless opportunities for personal development and learning, to apply for a Graduate or Summer Intern role at PwC.
